The UK domestic Worker visa allows employers to bring their established members of staff to the UK for a period of up to 6 months. Domestic workers include cleaners, chauffer’s, cooks or those that provide personal care such as nannies.
- Live and work in your employer’s household in the UK
In order to apply for a Domestic Worker visa, an applicant must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
- Must be 18 – 65 years of age
- Intend to leave the UK at the end of 6 months, or at the same time as your employer
- Must be able to support themselves without recourse to public funds
Dependants cannot be included on your application; if they wish to enter the UK they will need to do so within their own right, such as on a UK Visitor Visa
The Domestic Worker Visa may be extended, and can lead to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) only if you were already in the UK on this visa before the 5th of April 2012
