How many Candidates will Ontario invite in 2019?
In 2019, Ontario is allocated with a quota of 6,900 immigration intake. The number obviously surpasses the previous years and we may see a few hundred additional nominations issued at the end of this year.
Who are Receiving Invitations by OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program)?
The reason why the provincial nomination system is so popular among the immigrants because you can get an invite even with a low CRS (comprehensive ranking system) score. But you have to show proof of work experience in any of the target jobs of a province. Specifically, the Ontario PNP has a history of accepting applicants even with a CRS below 440. As you can see, the minimum score was 439 for this invitation round.
Your Action Plan
For Ontario, it may not take much longer to fill the quota if they keep sending a large number of invitations. So, if you do not take action now, you may lose the chance in the future draw round of Ontario.
As a potential immigrant, you should know that OINP invites most of the foreign applicants through the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
