This week many provinces issued invitations in many draw rounds. We are expecting provinces like Alberta, Nova Scotia will soon open for qualified applicants. Here is the weekly update!
In Ontario, you will find people from all over the world. The diversity is thick in cities like Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Hamilton, and Windsor. With lots of job opportunities, metropolitan lifestyle, and warm weather, it is certainly a province many Indian choose to live in.
On 15th Jan 2020, Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program conducted an invitation round and 954 Express Entry candidates with eligible work experience to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.
These tech occupations were targeted in this draw round!
Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)
The Express Entry candidates were selected from the EE pool through a linked stream i.e. Human Capital Priorities immigration stream. This stream is responsible to fill the needs of the labour market via draws, every year. The candidates need to have at least one year of continuous paid full-time work experience (or the equivalent in paid part-time work).
In 2019, Ontario was the most active province in conducting PNP draws. The reason Ontario can welcome such a large number of migrants every year, one of the main reasons is there is not much resistance from the citizens in accepting migrants.
Ontario also has the best public and private schools in the country. Unlike Quebec, to live comfortably in Ontario, except English you don’t need to learn French or any other foreign language. There is a local food culture, yet you would find all types of great restaurants with a variety of dishes from all across the globe. The cultural events and festivals are to be seen year-round.
